In order to prevent lawsuits, release forms are not only common place, but required for many types of photo sessions. They are required in the United States in order to use photographs and video footage for commercial purposes. Essentially, a release form gives a videographer the copyrights and right to use the footage or film. Release forms are a routine requirement for most photography sessions.

The attached PDF is a sample Waiver that may be copied for the Entrant's use.  It is the Entrant's sole responsibility to have the Waiver reviewed by an attorney retained for that purpose. Russ InVision Records, as the contest organizer, is not responsible for any legal issues or lawsuits that may arise between the Entrant and the Participants in the Entrant's film or video footage.
